Research - Synthesis

There is a huge number of pharmacologically active natural products which contain α,β-unsaturated carbonylsubstructures. These can be different plant ingredients like flavonoids, chalcones, cumarines, and terpenes. The synthesis of these and similar compounds makes it possible to develop new strategies for syntheses in order to be able to modify very different scaffolds. The natural products and their derivatives received from this approach are evaluated by comparative studies concerning their activity.

Substances from nature

In the synthetic projects are used the following methods:

  • Organic synthesis
  • Enzymatic synthesis
  • NMR spektroscopy
  • Analytic and preparative HPLC
