Enock O. Dare

Postdoc, AvH-Georg Forster (University of Nigeria)

Enock O. Dare is presently the first Professor of Nanotechnology and Materials in Nigeria. He holds a PhD in Materials Chemistry from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria and Adv. Res. Dip. Chemical Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan. Enock had his postdoctoral training at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Princeton University, NJ, USA. He is an outstanding international scholar; as a UNESCO fellow, USAMI/FULBRIGHT fellow, MONBUSHO fellow, a fellow of the Taiwanese National Science Foundation (Academia Sinica), etc. To crown it all, he is currently a recipient of the prestigious AvH-Georg Forster at the University of regensburg under the advisorship of Prof. Diaz. EOD research activities revolve around inorganic-organic hybrid nanocomposites, nanobimetallic, nanoporous membrane technology and surface nanochemsitry for which he sucessfully developed a prototype suitable for crude oil/water separation (patented). His most recent research direction is centered on POSS based fluorescently labeled nanohybrid for anticounterfeiting/fingerprinting.

He will join Díaz' group on January 2018.
