European students within the Atlantis Chemistry Curriculum are required to study one semester at a different European University (e.g. under the Socrates/Erasmus program) and one year (2 semesters, minimum 10 months) either at the University of Kansas or at the University of Arkansas. The study stay at the US institution is intended to be in the 4th year of the Atlantis curriculum.
Fellowships for study stays at the US institution are available starting September/October 2007.
Students who want to transfer to the Atlantis degree and to apply for fellowships to start their study stay in the US in September/October 2007 should have finished their third year in a Bachelor Curriculum Chemistry in summer 2007 and should have studied one semester at a European University other than in the country of their current home institution.

All students entering the Atlantis degree need to transfer either to the University of Regensburg, Germany or to Dublin City University, Ireland.
All students pay tuition at their home institutions for the duration of the Atlantis curriculum, regardless of the place of study. Students continue to be eligible for all programs for student aid, fellowships or reduced tuition being in place at their home institution.
For the transatlantic stay students receive a fellowship of 1000 EUR/month up to 12000 EUR/year.
